Heather Feeney, CCFC

Founder/Trainer, Certified Canine Fitness Coach, AKC CGC Approved Evaluator, & Professional Pet Sitter

Dogs are fascinating creatures with complex psychological and emotional needs. Like humans, each one has their own unique personality, learning style, and perspective on the world. Understanding this intricate canine psychology – and how it interweaves with human behavior – is what drives my approach at Influential K9.

My journey into the world of professional dog training began unexpectedly. What started as pet sitting and dog walking on Rover reignited a passion I'd carried since childhood. This spark led me to establish Heather Feeney's Colorful Companions, LLC, which evolved into what is now Influential K9, LLC. Over the past 3-4 years, I've dedicated myself to working hands-on with hundreds of dogs across all breeds, ages, and temperaments – each one teaching me something new about canine behavior and psychology. I am also VERY active in the dog sport community and a proud active member of the Windham County Kennel Club, Inc., and Pilgrim Doberman Pinscher Club, Inc.

But my understanding of behavior goes deeper than just experience. During my military service, I pursued a Master's degree in Psychology with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis – a background that gives me unique insight into both human and canine learning patterns. I learned that the same principles that govern behavior and learning apply across species – consistency, clear communication, and mutual respect are universal languages.
